Since the end of 2020, no vaccines have been available throughout Europe! (Corona) With the veterinarians, there are only the remaining quantities of whatever vaccine. Therefore, many breeders are forced to change or mix vaccines. Which leads to an even higher rate of serious vaccination reactions and breakthroughs. It is precisely this issue that has strengthened us in our decision not to risk a new attempt.

However I explicidly point out that the kittens do not receive vaccination protection through vaccination at the age of 9 weeks and 12 weeks anyway, since persistent, maternal antibodies demonstrably confirmed by the Pei Institute are present until 16 weeks and these prevent their own antibodies being formed. If you want to vaccinate, the only sensible method would be at 16 and 20 weeks of life!

Vaccination can no longer cover the need nowadays anyway. In the past, there were 5 main strains (Calicivirus, herpes virus, chlamydia, Bordetella and mycoplasma), which were considered triggers, which were covered with vaccination, meanwhile the strains have already mutated 1000 times, and there are an infinite number of mutated forms that cannot be covered by vaccination, because unfortunately there is not enough research funds available for the animals.

 

Furthermore, I would also like to point out that there are always carriers and excreters of viruses, i.e. if one has a healthy, vaccinated cat at home, and bring a healthy, vaccinated or unvaccinated playmate to their cat, and suddenly he falls ill with "cat cold" for no apparent reason. It could be that the already existing cat is a excretor, but even copes well with it. To put it clearly again: A vaccinated cat against cat flu is not immune to cat flu!!!

Our vet can order a dead vaccine. But this is still only useful if the maternal antibodies no longer form a barrier.
